Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, we will be postponing the 2021 #DigiInventorsChallenge until Autumn 2021.
What is it?
The #DigiInventorsChallenge, in association with Glasgow Warriors and the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI) is on a mission to find smart new ways to help Scotland’s young people keep active, staying healthy and happy, now and in the future.
We want you to help reverse the trends that have led to young Scots being rated as having one of lowest activity levels in the world.
With your help, we can change the habits that are setting Scotland up for a lifetime of ill health.
When is it?
The #DigiInventorsChallenge takes place between January and April and concludes with a Bootcamp and judge’s presentation.
We host an awards presentation as part of the Digifest, Digital Health & Care Week Conference, which takes place in November or December.
How do I enter?
In teams of four (supported by at least one adult mentor, over the age of 21), we want you to develop an idea that empowers Scotland’s young people to participate in the active management of their health, fitness and wellbeing, using digital technology.
We’ve all heard of apps that analyse diet and mood, watches that monitor heart rates and games that promote exercise. What new idea can you come up with?
Submit your idea and, hopefully, you’ll be shortlisted to attend our 2-day Bootcamp to learn about digital health and care, develop entrepreneurship, business and technical skills and understand future career routes.
Along the way, you’ll be supported by the Glasgow Warriors as you tackle the challenges of developing a business plan to drive forward your idea before finishing with a presentation to our panel of expert judges.
How to get involved
- Select your teammates
- Create and submit your idea
- Show your passion as you defend your business case and showcase it to our judges
- Respect your peers, their feedback and ideas
- Inspire your community
- Do whatever it takes to become #DigiInventorsChallenge Champions
Glasgow Warriors are delighted to partner with the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre and support their #DigiInventorsChallenge. It is great for us to align with an organisation that is focused on making a positive impact on Scotland’s people and their communities through digital heath and care.
