Gemma Teal and Sneha Raman from the design research team attended the International Design in Government conference in Edinburgh on 25th-26th June, hosted by the Scottish Government.
They kick-started the second day of the conference with a workshop showcasing the diverse creative engagement approaches we have been using to innovate health and care in Scotland. The session was attended by international delegates from design, policy and technology related disciplines. Entitled “What happened to that project?”: The Ethics of Creative Engagement and Translation of Ideas into Action the workshop shared insights, ideas and emerging questions, and invited participants to discuss their experiences of influencing change.
As with all engagements the team brought an element of surprise by asking delegates to share their perspective or ‘lenses’ on engagement on specially designed DHI glasses – not as sophisticated as Google Glass, but better received!
