The Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre is delighted to announce that Janette Hughes, Director of Planning & Performance, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Digital Working Group Chair for All Policies for a Healthy Europe.
Janette will bring a wealth of expertise to this role - she was responsible for setting up Scotland's first Wellness and Health Innovation Centre in 2009, she has led a range of global trade missions and has a proven track record in promoting innovation and technology in the hath and care sector.
She is excited to get started and use her extensive expertise to continue building the EU Health Union while extending and strengthening Scotland's Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre's international networks for future collaborations and codesign opportunities.

Janette has also just received her Masters in Philosophy (MPhil) award from the University of Strathclyde and included publishing a thesis focused on the research question ‘What evidence is needed to scale digital health innovation?’.
The key findings from Janette's thesis enabled her to develop a Heuristic (simple) Service Readiness Level (SRL) Evidence framework, which has now been successfully published in a peer-reviewed journal.
