Prof Brendan McCormack, Queen Margaret University:
"Caring in a post-covid digital world – developing a progressive ecosystem of care". This presentation will explore human caring in the context of services for older people. The concepts of care and caring will be explored and the challenges of Covid to these core principles and values will be surfaced. The opportunities afforded by developments in digital health will be highlighted in the context of an ecosystem of care that maximises the potential of all older people.
Layla Robinson, Partnership and Engagement, from the University of Edinburgh:
"An introduction to the Advanced Care Research Centre (ACRC) - The ACRC is a new multi-disciplinary research programme, combining research across fields including medicine and other care professions, life sciences, engineering, informatics, data and social sciences. The Centre aims to enable data-driven, personalised and affordable care that delivers independence, dignity and a high quality of life for people living in their own homes or in supported care environments.
Julia Glenn, Innovation and Design Lead UKRI
Julia will present a new funding challenge directed at our cluster members.
Commercial Industry showcase opportunity
A 15-minute showcase opportunity will allow 3-5 commercial attendees to showcase their company/ product/ service in a 3-minute pre-recorded video.
Strategic partner update
David Brown, Business Relationship Manager, Digital Health & Care, Digital Office for Scottish Local Government will be updating on wider Digital Office activity, and a more detailed update on the Digital Telecare Programme.
