Michelle leads on a portfolio of development and delivery of digital innovation projects on behalf of DHI and has recently become the Strategic Lead for Diabetes within the Technology Enabled Care and Innovation Division within the Scottish Government which is a joint role within DHI.

She identifies and develops innovation opportunities, supports knowledge transfer to optimise adoption, and plays a key role in supporting organisations to deliver transformational service change underpinned by digital services.

Before DHI, Michelle worked at the Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare in NHS 24 working across Scotland with Health and Care strategic leads, senior stakeholders, academia and the Scottish Government. She was the national lead for the Home and Mobile Health Monitoring portfolio funded by the Technology Enabled Care Programme in Scotland and programme lead for EU funded initiative United4Health.

Michelle is a Clinical professional with knowledge and skills in operational management, programme management, implementation, service redesign and development of citizen-facing digital services. She is interested in the role of digital innovation in enabling health and care integration, person-centred care and sustainable service delivery.
