Silvia is a design researcher exploring participatory approaches and public engagement to tackle contemporary and future challenges.
She is based at the Innovation School of GSA, where she has taken part in different projects, working closely with the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Glasgow Science Centre.
She is interested in the socio-cultural shifts happening in our societies and in how these changes are going to shape individuals, communities and relationships. She uses her practice to investigate these turns, trying to open spaces for conversation and to gather insight to inform policy-making.
Silvia is currently a PhD Candidate in Design at Politecnico di Milano, has a Master of Design in Design Innovation and Citizenship at the Glasgow School of Art and has been previously trained as Industrial Product Designer at Politecnico di Milano.
