Angus is a non-executive director of NHS Lothian, chairs the board’s Finance & Resources Committee and sits on its Planning Performance and Development Committee. As such, he provides scrutiny of the board’s activities and strategy.

He is a former chair of the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board and of the Midlothian IJB. He is vice-chair of trustees for the NHS Lothian Charity. He is also a co-opted member of two technology-related committees of NHS Education for Scotland.
