Envision: from blueprint to adoption. Become a Strategic Partner
Earlier this year DHI published Envision, the digital blueprint for a smart home of the future. It was developed with BE-ST, Moray Council, Architype, Evolve Capex and The Alternative UK as part of the Moray Growth Deal's Rural Centre of Excellence. Envision shows how existing digital, energy and housing technology can make homes healthier, lower-carbon and better at supporting independent living. Most of the homes people will live in by 2050 are already built. So the next step is to test Envision in existing homes.
In 2027 we want to work with at least six organisations applying Envision in live retrofit projects, in rural and urban communities.
Together we will:
Demonstrate Envision in real retrofit settings
Learn what works, what gets in the way, and what residents, providers and communities need
Scale through an Envision hub for knowledge, collaboration and implementation support
We are inviting a small group of Strategic Partners to help. Partners may contribute funding, specialist expertise, technology and resources, research capability, or networks and reach. In return, partners can take part in workshops and knowledge exchange, see early findings from real-world adoption, and receive appropriate recognition.
How it works. Stage 1 starts now: a short expression of interest that takes about ten minutes. In Stage 2, early in 2027, we will invite organisations whose interest fits the programme to discuss a fuller partnership proposal. Housing providers and delivery organisations interested in becoming a Pathfinder can register interest on the same form. A separate Pathfinder route, with published criteria, will follow.
Independent and technology-neutral, this is not a tender. Expressing interest does not commit you or DHI to anything. It gives no advantage or disadvantage in any future DHI procurement or funding, and partner status does not endorse any organisation, product or service.
Envision is led by DHI with Architype and Evolve Capex, supported through Digital Care Collaborative Scotland.
