Digital Lifelines Scotland

Digital Lifelines Scotland improves digital inclusion and designs digital solutions to reduce harm and deaths among people who use drugs. Managed by DHI and funded by the Scottish Government, the programme provides access to devices, connectivity, skills, and confidence, strengthening services and sector collaboration.

Dynamic Scot

In response to COVID-19, DHI, NHS GGC, NSS, and Storm ID expanded a web app for COPD patients to self-manage at home, reducing hospital admissions. The "Dynamic-Scot" project used asynchronous messaging and patient data for clinical interventions and machine learning integration within NHS systems.

Envision – a Digital Blueprint for a Smart Home of the Future

Envision is a digital blueprint for the smart home of the future, developed through the Moray Rural Centre of Excellence as part of the Moray Growth Deal. The project combines digital health and care technologies, low-carbon design and adaptable housing principles to support preventative care, independent living and more sustainable future-ready homes.

Forth Valley Dermatology AI

DHI conducted co-design workshops to help NHS Forth Valley develop an AI-supported dermatology service. These workshops produced an analysis of the current state and a proposed AI solution for dermatology. The project report was well-received, and NHS Forth Valley is considering the next steps.

Learning Disability Pathfinder

DHI is collaborating with the Fraser of Allander Institute, SCLD and PAMIS to explore how the PAMIS digital passport could integrate with future NHS and social care digital records, including the National Digital Platform.

Living Lab 1: Supported Self-Management

A digital health and community-based R&D project demonstrating how supported self-management, lifestyle interventions, and digital innovation can improve diet, weight, and overall wellbeing while reducing pressure on NHS services.

Living Lab 2B: Community Occupational Therapy Pathway

Development and testing of a digital enabled Community Occupational Therapy (OT) pathway using digital tools such as AskSARA to support self-assessment, improve triage and reduce waiting times.

Living Lab 2C: Prevent Progress of Diabetes App

This project designed and evaluated a Diabetes Prevention Information App as part of a scalable, digitally enabled service model integrated into primary care to support individuals at risk of Type 2 diabetes.

Living Lab 4A: Smart Housing, Smart Communities

A Smart Housing programme initiative focused on transitioning Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services in Moray from a reactive telecare model to a proactive, data-drive, and preventive care pathway.
