This evaluation report starts with an executive summary, which provides an overview of the evaluation and the results.
The introductory section provides the purpose and objectives, scope, as well as the methodology and process used in the evaluation. This is followed by the desk review, which outlines literature around the use of PainChek® in higher-income countries, including the UK. The discussion further delves into the potential barriers and facilitators to the use of PainChek®.
Case studies from the use of PainChek® in the UK and Scotland are also presented, with a keynote on costs associated with the prescription service being discussed. This is followed by a presentation of the survey findings covering all the questions asked on the perceptions regarding the use of PainChek®. The conclusions focus on the findings of the desk review and survey within the context of Scotland. The recommendations given provide suggestions to improve the implementation of PainChek® in Scotland.
