Collective Force Action Plan Launch

On 22 February over 120 delegates across library, health and social care and third sectors attended the virtual launch of the Collective Force for Health and Wellbeing Action Plan.

This action plan is led jointly by the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), the Scottish Library and Information Council, and the ALLIANCE.

It fosters collaboration across public and school libraries, health and social care and voluntary organisations, to make libraries a driving force for citizen and community empowerment through supported access to quality-assured health information and developing digital, information and health literacy skills.

The event featured keynotes from the Director of People Policy in COSLA and the Deputy Director of Digital Health and Care in the Scottish Government, and showcased a range of pathfinder projects including libraries addressing digital exclusion by providing local access to Near Me.
