International Seminar on Innovation in Primary Care
The Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI) is delighted to be participating in an international seminar on innovation in primary care with our counterparts from the Ministry of Health in Galicia.
This high-profile event is being organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Scottish Development International (SDI) at the British Embassy in Madrid, Spain and will take place online (via Zoom) on Thursday 08 July 2021 at 1030 (CET).
Galicia and Scotland share similar challenges, in that we are both areas of increasing ageing societies and face challenges in remote access to health and care services.
The focus of the event is “patients at home” and experts from across Galicia and Scotland will discuss the challenges they have faced and the measures they have adopted, with the hope of sharing best practice between Scotland and Galicia, identifying mutual business opportunities and strengthening our bilateral relationship.
Professor George Crooks OBE, Chief Executive Officer, Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre, said:
“With our populations growing, and living longer, we often find them having more than one long-term medical condition to manage.
Scotland has a powerful collaboration of shared strategic interests and common endeavour to address the biggest challenges and opportunities in ageing.
It will be excellent to learn from Galicia’s experience and see what opportunities could present for Spanish and Scottish businesses to contribute to this agenda.”
This free event is open to all including key decision-makers and SMEs from Scotland and Galicia.
