The Digital Health and Care Innovation Roadshow – Moray 2024!

The Rural Centre of Excellence for Digital Health and Care Innovation (RCE) team are organising four information events throughout Moray in March 2024, to help inform and highlight the need for digital solutions to support the pressures faced by the health and care services in Moray.

These events will be an opportunity for citizens of Moray to ask questions about this transformational project taking place in their community right now, and find out more information about ways to get involved and have their voice heard.

The cutting-edge participatory techniques used by DHI to drive innovation ensure that citizen needs are considered within the innovation development process and, importantly, lead to co-designed solutions, but we need your participation and involvement!

Register your interest today and don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet the team and be a part of an exciting project!

Background

The Rural Centre of Excellence for Digital Health and Care Innovation (RCE) is a £5 Million capital investment from the UK Government, delivered through the Moray Growth Deal by the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), to support the remobilisation of health and care services in Moray, by investing in research and innovation activities aligned to the digital health and care agenda.

The RCE has established a state-of-the-art Demonstration & Simulation Environment (DSE) - a physical immersive facility anchored in the Alexander Graham Bell Centre at UHI Moray, in Elgin. In addition to this facility, the centre has established ‘Living Labs’ with participation from the Moray community across the region.

The Living Lab concept puts users at the heart and enables co-design and co-production methodologies to be used in the innovation process, to develop innovative digital solutions to enhance health, care, and well-being for the citizens of Moray as well as contributing to economic development.

In practice, this means involving citizens, health & care practitioners, NHS and third-sector organisations to develop digital solutions and test these out in the real world, ultimately working to bring these new approaches and services into mainstream services.
