SCOTCAP named as Innovation award finalist

The SCOTCAP Evaluation Project Team has been shortlisted for the Innovation Award, sponsored by NHS Research Scotland and Scottish Health Innovations Ltd at the Scottish Health Awards 2020.

has been shortlisted as one of three finalists in the Innovation Award category at the Scottish Health Awards 2020.

The Scottish Health Awards are the most prestigious awards for those working across NHS Scotland, partners in health and social care, voluntary organisations and more, to deliver high-quality health and social care services in Scotland.

It is fantastic to see the efforts of this high performing group of individuals, recognised by their peers, and we look forward to 09 December 2020 when the winner will be announced.

The Scottish Capsule Programme (SCOTCAP) evaluation project is an integral part of the national redesign of gastroenterology services in Scotland. It enables early and effective testing in the community for Gastroenterology Symptoms, avoiding unnecessary referrals for hospital outpatient appointments.

It is part of the Scottish Government’s Modernising Patient Pathways Programme (MPPP) and is led by Digital Health and Care Institute (DHI) To support the delivery of evaluation whilst optimising benefits of a new and unique Innovation Collaboration Partnership was created.
