Edith Anne Macintosh
Member (Care Inspectorate)
Edith is the Interim Executive Director of Strategy and Improvement at the Care Inspectorate.
Edith has worked across health and social for 37 years with a professional background in Occupational Therapy. She worked for much of her career as a clinician and service manager in NHS Boards.
Edith joined the Care Inspectorate (then Care Commission) in 2009 appointed to provide leadership, direction and demonstrate a positive vision for improvement across the social care sector.
In 2017 Edith was appointed to act as the Care Inspectorate’s national lead on improvement support for social care across Scotland which she did until 2018 when she took up the post of Interim Executive Director of Strategy and Improvement.
Edith has a passion for strategic working, and through collaboration to influence practice and transform care to support people to live well, have choice and realise potential including innovative digital solutions.
